CIRA invites its members to Help Shape Canada’s Internet
Ottawa, August 3, 2010 – The Canadian Internet Registration Authority (CIRA) is asking its members to nominate dynamic individuals for the Members’ Slate of its 2010 Board of Directors Election.
Professional Canadians with Board experience and/or an interest in technology and the Internet are encouraged to seek nomination. This is a unique opportunity to work with Canada’s Internet leaders as they develop strategy and policy that positions .CA for operational excellence. Board members gain valuable insight and experience around technical innovation, Internet policy development, and organizational governance.
Nominations and Applications
Nominations may be submitted by Members until to 6:00 p.m. (ET) on August 16th, 2010 at: https://elections.cira.ca/2010/nominations/login/en
Once nominated, Nominees will receive an email with a link to complete an online Nominee Application Form which must be submitted before 8:00 p.m. (ET) on August 16, 2010.
Final Slate of Candidates
To be included on the Final Members' Slate, Member Nominees must receive the support of at least 20 CIRA Members. Members will be able to Show Support from August 26, 2010 at noon (ET) until 6:00 p.m. (ET) on September 9, 2010.
The final slate of Candidates will be published on CIRA's website on September 13, 2010.
