1) CBC Radio’s Under the Influence host Terry O’Reilly is the keynote speaker.

 

You’ve heard him on your radio and enjoyed his insights into advertising and branding. Now is your chance to see him live in person or via webcast as he talks about the social, economic and cultural fabric of Canada and the future of Canadian brands. Known for his brand and advertising expertise, Terry will share the importance of your personal and business brands and how you, as a Canadian, can leverage the Internet to your advantage.

2) A Smart Communities panel will discuss how digital technology will shape the future of communities in Canada.

CIRA’s President and CEO Byron Holland will be joined by Ottawa City Councillor Jan Harder and Stratford Mayor Dan Mathieson to discuss what smart communities are and what they mean for Canada’s future.

3) This is your chance to shape the future of Canada’s Internet.

Attendees will have the opportunity to shape Canada’s digital future online by getting involved in CIRA’s governance. By participating in the event, CIRA Members can have a direct impact on the future of the Internet in Canada by voting on items of business. While anyone can attend, only CIRA Members can vote at the AGM or in the upcoming 2017 board of directors election. Membership is free and open to all .CA domain name holders with an interest in advancing the Internet in Canada.

This event is a great opportunity to interact with like-minded individuals from across the country interested in the future of the Canadian Internet. Join us in Canada’s capital in person or online, as we continue to celebrate Canada 150 by looking toward the future!
