About the Canadian Internet Governance Forum
The Canadian Internet Governance Forum (IGF) is Canada’s leading multi-stakeholder forum on digital and internet policy issues. This year’s event will focus on topics like encryption, connecting Indigenous communities, content moderation, data and AI in the public interest, and more.
The event is led by the CIGF Steering Committee and represents collaboration between non-profits, government, and the tech sector across the country. This is Canada’s chapter of the Global Internet Governance Forum, which came from the UN General Assembly to bring people together from various stakeholder groups as equals, in discussions on public policy issues relating to the Internet. This year’s event is made possible due to generous support from our sponsors, including the Canadian Internet Registration Authority (CIRA), CANARIE, Cybera, ICANN, and the Internet Society Foundation.
