Ottawa, ON – August 18, 2020 – Join us for our first virtual Canadians Connected to discuss why cybersecurity matters now more than ever. Canadians Connected, CIRA’s symposium and annual general meeting, is one of the most important internet events of the year.

In addition to an exciting lineup of industry-leading keynote speakers, CIRA presents its accomplishments from the past year, industry developments and statistics, plans, audited financial statements and the auditor’s report to CIRA members.

Why cybersecurity matters now more than ever

This year’s massive shift to operating from home means our dependency on internet-connected devices has skyrocketed. How can you step up your digital hygiene standards, and stay safe online? What does the future hold for internet-connected devices? How can we better understand our devices like our Google Homes or Alexas, and their security risks?

We are bringing together CIRA members, the public and experts to discuss emerging trends around cybersecurity and what lies ahead for Canada’s internet. Together we will explore key issues around privacy, data protection, and how we can stay safe as we work, learn and connect online.

Learn more and register for the event here.
