OTTAWA, August 7, 2018 – Canadians Connected 2018 brings together Canada’s Internet community to learn from top digital thinkers and gain insight on the Canadian Internet Registration Authority’s (CIRA) latest initiatives to advance the Internet in Canada.

This event is free and will be available online by webcast.

This year’s event will feature high-profile Canadian speaker Nicole Verkindt, StartUp Canada’s Woman Entrepreneur of the Year, founder of OMX and Dragon on CBC’s Next Gen Dragon’s Den. Event attendees will hear an overview of CIRA’s work over the last year during the AGM portion of the event and learn from an expert panel discussing cybersecurity and privacy in Canada.

By participating in the event, CIRA Members can have a direct impact on the future of the Internet in Canada by voting on items of business. While anyone can attend, only CIRA Members can vote at the AGM or in the upcoming 2018 board of directors election.

Membership is free and open to all .CA domain name holders with an interest in advancing the Internet in Canada.
