Ottawa, ON - September 12, 2017 - Members of the Canadian Internet Registration Authority (CIRA) community will begin casting their votes on September 19 for candidates in CIRA's 2017 board of directors election.
In advance of the vote, CIRA Members can learn more about the candidates and where they stand on issues of importance to Canada's internet.
- Candidate profiles will be live on September 12.
- CIRA Members can engage with candidates in the 2017 campaign forum. The forum will be accessible from September 12-19, 2017.
- An online town hall will take place on the campaign forum on Wednesday, September 13, 2017. Join in from 4:00 p.m.-7:00 p.m. ET to engage in a live online Q&A with candidates.
CIRA Members are an important part of CIRA's governance process and help ensure that a broad range of views are represented in CIRA's decision making.
The Canadian Internet Registration Authority (CIRA) manages the .CA top-level domain on behalf of all Canadians. A Member-based organization, CIRA also develops and implements policies that support Canada's internet community, and represents the .CA registry internationally.
