How does CIRA DNS Firewall work?  

DNS filtering is a cybersecurity measure that uses the Domain Name System (DNS) to block access to malicious or inappropriate websites. When a user tries to visit a website, their device sends a DNS query to find the corresponding IP address. DNS filtering intercepts this query and checks it against a list of blocked or allowed domains. If the domain is on the blocklist, the request is denied, preventing the user from accessing the harmful content.
