THE PROJECT
Hands, part of TheFamilyHelpNetwork.ca, is an organization dedicated to helping families by providing child and youth mental health resources, principally in Northern Ontario. As a result of the COVID-19 pandemic, Hands saw an increased demand for their services, especially mental health support, and needed a solution to connect families with care and resources during a critical time. CIRA funded the development of a virtual chat agent, Digit.
COMMUNITY IMPACT
Digit is available 24/7 to help youth locate mental health support and COVID-19 information quickly and easily. This tool has been key to connecting individuals, families, and communities with instant support to make a positive impact on their lives.
