Students attend virtual lectures, apply for jobs and connect with friends, all from their devices. Between juggling deadlines and late-night study sessions, spotting cyber threats is not always easy. Every click or download carries a risk, making students vulnerable to phishing scams and malware but also exposing the university network to threats.

As the national-not-for profit with a mission to build a trusted internet for Canadians, CIRA wants to see more Canadians protected. We believe cybersecurity is a team sport—when we all play a part, everyone is safer online. We have created a poster than can be printed and placed around campus to promote Canadian Shield and a smaller postcard that can be handed out to students.
