Ottawa, ON – November 2, 2022 – CIRA is proud to announce that .nz, the country code top-level domain of Aotearoa New Zealand, is officially part of the CIRA Registry Platform family. The tailored infrastructure built in collaboration with InternetNZ, the organization in charge of .nz, will help operate more than 750,000 domains.

Based on the industry-leading registry solution powering the .ca domain name, this new and unique .nz infrastructure will still be managed from New Zealand by InternetNZ. Registrars will have access to an all-in-one web portal, advanced features, and a wide range of customer support capabilities.

The CIRA Registry Platform leverages 20-year expertise managing Canada’s domain to continue its mission to support online communities around the world, from Ireland with .ie to Sint Maarten with .sx as well .kiwi, .eco and other ccTLDs and gTLDS. Each new TLD contributes to the platform’s stability and strength benefiting from CIRA’s research & development.

We share common goals and a similar mission to create the necessary tools to make life online easier for everyone,” says Adam Eisner, General Manager of Registry Services at CIRA.
